In the Night, Lost with Open Eyes

In the dark, sleep eludes me,
Six months gone, a movie, long it seems

Dancing on the wire as each month unwinds,
Isn’t it smoother than risking all my finds

Yeah, I want to find peace in today’s gentle light,
But I still long for a hand to set me right

A hundred dreams inside my head,
Too scared to take the leap ahead

Plans, all tucked away, in the shadows they stay.
I’m lost, unable to find my way.

In the quiet, I’ll listen to what the night has to lay.
One day soon, the sun will have its say.

Just one pull, to lead me right,
But who’ll lend a hand, in the darkest night?
